Description
This role will perform housekeeping, maintenance and cleaning activities of the facility in office spaces, kitchen areas, common areas, plant/production floor, restroom facilities, and parking lots/grounds areas. Performs housekeeping and cleaning tasks in accordance with all company safety policies and approved work procedures throughout onsemi's Gresham campus.
Gresham, OR is one of our flagship manufacturing facilities with 80 acres of land and 550,000 square feet of indoor space which supports a variety of technologies used to produce leading edge power management products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• 
  Perform general custodial duties, including emptying wastebaskets; cleaning walls and other surfaces; cleaning windows and mirrors; cleaning and sanitizing toilets, sinks and showers; filling dispensers; dusting, sweeping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpets; collecting and picking up litter and garbage; washing outside windows; collecting and bundling recyclable items.

  Follow chemical usage directions and departmental procedures to clean, sanitize and maintain work areas to company standards.
  
  
• 
  Follow departmental standards and procedures for handling infectious waste, hazardous materials, recycling and trash disposal; and report needed repairs or potential hazards to management.
  
  
• 
  Restock supplies to assure customer usage needs are satisfied and effectively use resources in a way that preserves equipment and uses supplies in a cost-effective manner.
  
  
• 
  Communicate with building users while performing custodial work and providing customer service.
  
  
• 
  Perform general labor tasks, such as snow removal, exterior clean up, or projects in the Facilities; perform minor repairs, including changing light bulbs; clearing clogged drains and toilets; maintaining custodial equipment; reporting needed repairs and safety hazards to supervisor.
  
  
• 
  Provide support for events, including setting up tables and chairs, assisting in moving equipment, setting up and taking down furniture and equipment.
  
  
• 
  Minor repairs of equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
  
  
• 
  Prepares various reports (e.g. requisitions, safety inspections, work orders, inventory records, time sheets, etc.) for the purpose of providing information required to maintain the facility.
  
  
• 
  Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in completion of their work activities.
  
  
• 
  Minor repair of hardware and fixtures
  
  
  Qualifications
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Must have a high school diploma or GED
    
    
  • 
    Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
    
    
  • 
    Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
    
    
  • 
    Able to stand and walk majority of shift, and ability to lift, bend, reach and twist repetitively.
    
    
  • 
    Must be able to understand oral & written communications in English
    
    
  • 
    Ability to follow and complete a daily schedule and monitor work results
    
    
  • 
    Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers
    
    
  • 
    Ability to work harmoniously with other members of the Building Services Team
    
    
  • 
    Valid Oregon driver's license is preferred
    
    
  • 
    Knowledge of custodial, janitorial or housekeeping practices
    
    
  • 
    1 years of custodial/janitorial experience is preferred
    
    
  • 
    An understanding of cleanroom protocol is preferred
