El Programa Hispano Catlico (EPHC) is seeking a Part-Time Temp SUN Activity Leader at Hall Elementary School (Dates: 1/30/23 through 3/16/23 with the schedule of 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM). SUN Community Schools are a social service, neighbor hubs that support and empower students, families, and communities by connecting them with resources through culturally specific advocacy, high quality programming, and leadership opportunities. Under the general supervision of the SUN Site Manager, the Activity Leader will be supporting the after-school Extended Day Program teaching and facilitating after school classes and activities. • Interest in working with youth and/or children
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in one or more of the following: Spanish, Russian, Somali, Burmese or Vietnamese.
• Ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals.
• Ability to effectively follow both written and oral direction.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, families, and students.
• Experience with/or confident with public speaking
• Must be able to organize work, take initiative, follow through, and have attention to detail
• Satisfactory results from criminal background check required Essential Duties:
  • Lead enrichment activities/classes such as Arts & Crafts, Gaming, and Latinx Student Leadership activities.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students
  • Assist with class development and preparation
  • Provide student mentorship & assist with student behavior management
  • Support after-school supper & snack distribution
  • Support class set up and clean up tasks
  • Assist at SUN events (Back to School Night, SUN Family Night, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned by the SUN Site Manager.COMPENSATION: $18.00 an hour.By nature of our service to k-12 school districts, this position is subject to the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) mandate requiring all employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or qualification for a medical or religious exemption.
