SUMMARY OF POSITION
Under direction, performs duties to process and inspect product using the penetrant inspection NDT method and to perform various salvage grinding and visual inspection on a variety of non-conformance cast parts to ensure quality in accordance with established policies and procedures.

ORE - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Oregon)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Using penetrant inspection methods, interpret discontinuities for acceptance of castings.
• Mark defective castings for repair and complete appropriate documentation.
• Complete reports/form regarding inspection results.
• Perform system checks on penetrant process to ensure acceptability.
• Grind out defects in castings to prepare for weld repair per tech card
• Blend welds and reshape dimensional discrepancies per tech card
• Inspect discrepant castings to determine salvagability.
• Complete documentation as required including process routing card, salvage router and scrap tags.
• Assist in performing training of personnel as directed by the department supervisor or lead.
• Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
• Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
• Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department supervisor or lead.
• Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as required or directed by Department Supervisor or Lead.
• Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products
• Perform different types of operations based on manufacturing needs
• Assist in training of personnel as directed by the department Supervisor or Lead.
• Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
• Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Completes all required training.
