The Job
Lead Maintenance Technician (Full-time/Day)
We’re looking for an energetic and motivated teammate to perform ongoing maintenance and preventative maintenance for our affordable housing properties and provide support to our other Maintenance Technicians.

The benefits
  • $22-$25/hour, depending on experience
  • Full-time benefits, including: medical, dental, 403(b) retirement plan, life insurance, and mileage reimbursement. Relay pays 100% of an employee’s medical, dental, and vision premiums

What you’ll do
  • Working hours will be Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM (includes 24-hour emergency “on-call” repair service for all properties)
  • Location will be various Relay Resources affordable housing complexes (Portland, OR)
  • Perform minor and major repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings; supervise licensed contractors, as needed
  • Communicate daily with appropriate stakeholders to update them on maintenance tasks and receive updates on pressing issues
  • Develop and maintain resident relations and report any property issues and/or concerns to management as appropriate
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely records in appropriate, separate systems based on the property served

  • A can-do attitude and team spirit!
  • 5 years minimum apartment maintenance experience including experience in appliance repair, minor plumbing, minor electrical and painting
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to proactively inform management as needed
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to write and read simple instructions and short correspondence
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and safe driving record
  • The ability to pass a criminal background check
