Job Description:
Sysco, a global leader in the distribution of food products to

is seeking an experienced Day Transportation Supervisor with a
valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). This role is pivotal in
ensuring that our transport operations flow smoothly and
efficiently, maintaining Sysco's reputation for timely and
dependable delivery of quality products. The successful candidate
will oversee daily operations, manage driver schedules, and ensure
compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong
leadership skills and deep knowledge of transportation logistics,
cementing Sysco's commitment to operational excellence and customer
satisfaction. Supervise and manage daily operations of the
transportation department. Plan, schedule, and manage the routes
and schedules of drivers to ensure optimum use of resources.
Monitor driver performance, ensuring compliance with company
policies and legal regulations. Maintain accurate records of
transportation activities including delivery times, vehicle
conditions, and fuel consumption. Coordinate maintenance and repair
of vehicles to minimize downtime. Handle logistics issues that
arise, implementing immediate corrective actions. Ensure safety
standards and protocols are strictly adhered to, aiming for zero
accidents. Communicate effectively with other departments to
improve overall operational efficiency. Train new drivers on
routes, delivery practices, and safety protocols. Proven leadership
and personnel management skills. Strong organizational and time
management abilities. Expertise in route planning and logistics
management. Ability to operate and manage a fleet of vehicles.
Proficiency in transportation management systems. Excellent
problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal
