Sysco, a global frontrunner in the distribution of food products to diverse sectors, is seeking a dedicated Night Transportation Supervisor with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to enhance our Transportation and Logistics team. This crucial role focuses on the oversight and management of our night-time logistics operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of goods to our esteemed clients. The ideal candidate will be an adept leader with prior experience in transportation logistics, possessing robust organizational and communication skills to effectively manage dispatch operations and driver teams during night shifts. Oversee and manage all aspects of transportation operations during night shifts, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal regulations. Coordinate and dispatch fleet and drivers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Monitor route progress and make real-time adjustments to meet unforeseen challenges and delivery commitments. Maintain communication with drivers throughout their routes to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular checks to guarantee adherence to safety standards. Analyze and report on transportation metrics, proposing improvements for increased efficiency and reduced costs. Provide training, support, and guidance to new and existing staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment. Proven ability to manage logistics and transportation operations. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in transport management software and GPS tracking systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and external partners.
