Job Description:
The Breast Sonographer is responsible for performing
high-quality breast ultrasound exams and assisting with
interventional breast procedures to support the diagnosis and
treatment of breast conditions. There is also opportunity to work
with General Ultrasound. Will work at both 87th Ave and CTC
locations. Schedule: Part Time 32 hours/week. 4 days x 8-hour
shifts - M-T-W and Fri Hiring Range: $46.10 to $60, commensurate
with experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform
diagnostic breast ultrasound exams, including targeted and
whole-breast imaging Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided
procedures such as biopsies, cyst aspirations, and wire
localizations Accurately document exam findings and prepare images
for radiologist interpretation Provide clear explanations and
compassionate care to patients throughout their imaging experience
Ensure ultrasound equipment is properly maintained and cleaned
Follow all safety, privacy, and infection control protocols
Collaborate effectively with the breast imaging team, including
mammographers, technologists, and physicians Maintain continuing
education and certification requirements SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to
consistently demonstrate essential clinical competencies for this
role and license/certification. Ability to interact effectively
with patients and physicians in pressure situations while
maintaining tact and diplomacy. Ability to work independently while
functioning as a team member. Ability to organize and prioritize
workflow independently. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an
accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required. ARDMS
certification in Breast (BR) required or must be obtained within 12
months of hire Current American Heart Association Health Care
Provider BLS CPR certification required. 1–2 years of breast
ultrasound experience preferred. Experience with EPIC electronic
medical record system preferred. Experience with Change Healthcare
PACS and GE Ultrasound equipment preferred. Pay Range: $44.09 -
