Position: Counselor II (QMHP) Department: IBHS (Intensive Behavioral Health Services) Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Salary Range: $66,081.00 - $ 83,512.00 (annual). There are 15 steps on our salary scale. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements). Work experience in a behavioral or mental health setting preferred. Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered. Summary: The Counselor II provides therapeutic services to adults, children, adolescents, and families as assigned. Duties may vary per location/department. In this role, the Counselor II conducts comprehensive clinical assessments as a part of the diagnostic process, reviews ongoing delivery of services, identifies individual client needs and diagnoses substance use and/or mental health disorders. Conducts individual, family and group sessions to provide therapeutic treatment, and behavior modification using evidence-based practice to assist clients in reaching treatment goals. As member of clinical staff and treatment teams, assists in case management and coordination of community resources to meet client needs.
