Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Located in the scenic community of Mosier, OR, this contract opportunity offers a unique chance to support surgical teams in a well-established healthcare setting serving the Columbia River Gorge region. The role involves preparing surgical procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting surgeons by passing instruments and supplies efficiently during operations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical cases Assemble and check supplies and equipment prior to procedures Support surgeons by retracting and passing necessary instruments Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and blades alongside Registered Nurses Clean and sanitize operating room equipment and facilities Assist with patient transportation as scheduled Complete clerical tasks related to surgical cases Desired Qualifications and Experience: Certification as a Surgery Technician is required Completion of an accredited surgical technology program preferred High School diploma or GED required; Associates or Technical degree preferred Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) required Prior scrub technician experience and operating room training are advantageous Certified Nursing Assistant certification is a plus This contract position values attention to aseptic technique, organizational skills, and a commitment to patient safety.
