Operating Room Assistant at Providence Non-RN - Oregon summary: The Operating Room Assistant supports surgical teams by preparing and maintaining operating rooms, assisting anesthesia providers, and handling equipment and supplies under nurse supervision. This role requires clinical experience in a hospital operating room setting and basic life support certification. Description Operating Room Assistant at Providence Portland Medical Center . This posting represents a 1 FTE, Day shift opening (40 hours per week) with rotating weekends and holidays. Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision and direction of the registered perioperative nurse. The Perioperative Aide assists in the OR function, by assisting the anesthesia provider, by cleaning and preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, retrieving and decontaminating equipment, stocking general supplies in the operating rooms and work room, processing and maintaining equipment, supplies, instruments, and other related equipment as needed. Required Qualifications: Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 1 year clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience.
