Description Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist - Blood Bank at
Providence Office Park 3 in Portland, OR. Full-Time/Evening Shift
$5000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible candidates who meet all conditions

day of employment. The Senior Medical Technologist/Medical
Laboratory Scientist position is responsible for accurate and
timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results and
in-depth technical/ theoretical knowledge of instruments and
methodologies. The Senior MT/MLS performs complex QC,
troubleshooting and maintenance duties w/ minimum supervision. The
Senior MT/MLS is responsible for performing complex pre-analytical,
analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen
evaluation, data analysis, instrument maintenance and problem
resolution. The Senior MT/MLS interacts with acute-care and
outpatient caregivers, vendors, consultants, and other Laboratory
Services staff in performing their duties. Each Laboratory employee
is expected to possess an understanding of the Providence Health
and Services and the Regional PSA Laboratory Services goals and
strategies. Each Laboratory employee is expected to perform all

Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory
Sciences. - Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American
Society for Clinical Pathology or - Upon hire: National Medical
Technologist - American Medical Technologists or - Upon hire:
National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts
or - Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American
Society for Clinical Pathology or - Upon hire: National Clinical
Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or -
Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government -
Upon hire: In compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
(NRC) criminal background check and fingerprinting may be required
for position, based on assigned duties. Involves only those
positions at PPMC operating the blood irradiator machine - 5 years
Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity
laboratory Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Medical
