Description Medical Assistant I Local Float Resource Pool
Providence Medical Group $2,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible rehire

The Medical Assistant (MA) I works under the delegation of a
licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in
providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient
care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical
duties. An MA I is expected to perform in accordance with
established policies, procedures, and regulations. Required
qualifications:
- High School Diploma -OR- equivalent combination of education
and experience
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical
assistants or alternate training program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) - Must be American Heart
Association (AHA) accredited
- Active National certification/registration:
- Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA),
- American Medical Certification Association (AMCA),
- American Medical Technologists (AMT),
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA),
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), -OR-
- National Association for Healthcare Professionals (NAHP) as a
Medical Assistant upon hire and maintained -OR- Graduate of schools
for MA diploma/certificate from the military in Medical Specialist
Course
- Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
Preferred qualifications:
- Active National certification/registration by AMCA, AAMA, AMT,
NHA, NCCT, -OR- NAHP as a Medical Assistant
- Six (6) months of prior experience providing a high level of
customer service in a fast paced environment
- Six (6) months of previous experience in a healthcare setting
working with an Electronic Health record (EHR) Our best-in-class
