Job Description:

Position Purpose: The District Sales Manager is responsible for developing the assigned sales territory to pursue consignment sales growth and customer expansion. This key position interacts directly with BigIron's Independent Sales Representatives to form a cohesive approach to increasing sales activity.Essential Functions:

• Communicates and supports the Company's mission, vision, and core values
  • Develops, recommends, plans, and implements systems, procedures, and practices to successfully move each sales transaction to more profitability
    • Coaches Independent Sales Representatives within their local communities to develop relationships and promotes BigIron through farmers gate calls and community engagement
      • Establishes and evaluates personal sales goals to ensure continued successful development within the District Sales Force with proper utilization of human resources, materials, and time
        • Ensures timely reporting of all expenses and financial data as specified by Company verbal and written policy
          • Develops and conducts Economy of Management practices and internal control procedures to ensure he/she operates in the most cost-effective manner while providing accurate, documented, and timely sales services
            • Develops, plans, and implements quality control procedures for all listings, advertising, or promotional products and correspondence within the district
              • Produces timely and qualified sales listings and reviews and ensures quality listings by Independent Sales Representatives
                • Actively participates in Independent Sales Representative recruitment efforts in the district
                  • Participates in BigIron's continued education efforts to ensure up-to-date compliance with Company and industry policies and proceduresKnowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
                    • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook and other applications used by the Company
                      • Ability to coach, lead, manage, and instruct/train employees and contractors
                        • Excellent sales skills and ability to generate revenue
                          • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
                            • Knowledge of equipment sales in agriculture, construction, or transportation
                              • Strong customer service skills both internal and external
                                • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate time management skills
                                  • Effective skills of listening, verbal, and written communications
                                    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
                                      • High degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
                                        • Strong problem-solving skills
                                          • Ability to travel is requiredEducation/Experience Requirements:
                                            • Bachelor's Degree or five (5) plus years of related experience and/or training
                                              • Experience in sales recruitment & training
                                                • Experience in customer service and community engagement
                                                  • Experience is equipment sales in agriculture, construction, or transportation
