The Branch Manager II is responsible for directing the daily branch
activities, generally in a high volume branch. Performs all
management functions at assigned branch including supervision of
all staff. Provides operational and systems support to the branch.
Handles a variety of complex customer and operational transactions
requiring a high degree of expertise in specialized operational
areas. Responsible for scheduling work, training and providing
cross-training as necessary. Develops personnel in branches and
participates in a sales and service culture consistent with the
credit union's goal to deliver exceptional quality, expand member
relationships, increase revenues, and build member base. Ensures
attainment of growth and profitability goals of the branch.
Partners closely with other departments throughout Advantis to
ensure consistent application and execution of policies and
procedures. Fosters a positive working environment for employee
empowerment through coaching and support.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensures that employees support the organizations member service
and satisfaction objectives, and that members are served in an
extraordinary manner to deliver on the Advantis brand promise.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient performance of
branch operations. Manages and oversees expenses. Pursues
- Continually seeks ways to improve branch operations,
productivity and to meet established goals.
- Develops and manages elements of a sales culture, including
product knowledge, sales philosophy, sales strategy, sales
planning, data infrastructure, sales techniques,
cross-sell/referral, sales training/coaching, sales tracking
(performance) and recognition/reward systems.
- Effectively provides leadership through being a positive role
model, setting goals, coaching, and ongoing communication.
Encourages teamwork and cooperation among all personnel.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and performance
management of branch staff including monthly one-on-one coaching
meetings and writing annual performance reviews.
- Establishes goals, forecasts staffing needs, and determines
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of
education and relevant experience required.
- 7+ years previous financial institution operations experience,
and 5+ years lending experience required.
- 4+ years experience in a management or supervisory capacity;
well developed leadership, management and coaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to integrate branch operation plans with
- Must have excellent organizational abilities in order to manage
multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
- Proficient in use of personal computer and credit union's
computer system(s) for member account management.
- Must be technology savvy, with the ability to learn new
software applications quickly.
- Professional and friendly communication style.
