hybrid-remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or
Washington only, may work 1-2 days a week at an assigned Legacy
Health location, and other days may work remotely at home, on the
road or in a satellite location for the remainder of their
workweek. All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy
Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start
date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire
paperwork. This position may require initial training and
orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid
schedule. ResponsibilitiesYou are a medical staff expert who uses
organizational, negotiation and problem-solving skills to ensure
that that our medical staff provides the best services according to
regulatory agencies. Your team looks up to you and appreciates your

better for others. The Medical Staff Coordinator (MSC) is
accountable for direct coordination and supervision of Medical
Staff Services operations, under the overall direction of the
Department Manager. The MSC exercises discretionary judgment in
solving problems and provides leadership in supervising staff and
promoting team building amongst staff. The MSC organizes specified
activities for departmental personnel and provides liaison services
amongst the Medical Staff, departmental personnel, and hospital
staff/administration. Provides resources and information for the
Medical Staff such that its duties and obligations are carried out
in accordance with national, State and local regulatory agencies
and in accordance with the Medical Staff governance
documents.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree or equivalent
combination of education, training and experience required.
Experience:Minimum five years' experience in medical services
profession or relevant healthcare experience. Skills:Ability to
identify and understand interrelationships among issues and
implications for other stakeholders. Ability to apply knowledge,
expertise, sound judgment and other references and resources as
necessary to generate and evaluate solutions and recommendations.
Understanding of budget/finance concepts, key functions,
terminology, and work products, especially regarding the revenue
cycle, accounting, and auditing principles.Ability to express
thoughts clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in
writing. Ability to communicate upward, downward and across the
organization. Ability to encourage the open expression of ideas and
opinion.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding legal
matters, privacy issues, information technology, and data
integrityAbility to oversee the process of change by recognizing
and communicating the need. Ability to promote and build commitment

others.Understanding of clinical competence evaluation concepts,

environment. Comprehensive subject matter expertise and knowledge
