State Farm, a leader in insurance and financial services across the US since 1922, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Trial Attorney to join our dynamic Legal & Regulatory Compliance team. This role is instrumental in representing State Farm and its policyholders in civil litigation and workers' compensation matters, involving claims for monetary damages or compensation for personal injuries or property damage of a moderate to heavy value. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of litigation processes and insurance defense strategies, coupled with a commitment to excellence. Provide legal representation for clients in court proceedings primarily related to civil litigation. Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and pre-trial agreements. Manage and direct cases through litigation process timely and efficiently. Handle jury trials in cases of significant complexity and high financial exposure. Negotiate settlements as authorized by law and company policy. Continuously update knowledge and skills pertaining to new laws, statutes, and procedural rules. Participate in company-sponsored legal seminars and workshops. Strong proficiency in trial advocacy, civil litigation, and workers' compensation claims. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficient in using legal databases and technology. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Admittance to the Bar in the relevant state(s). Membership in the American Bar Association (ABA) preferred.
